The position offers a competitive base salary plus uncapped commission, including a transitional income guarantee when applicable.
Essential Functions
- Develop and grow relationships with existing and prospective industrial customers
- Identify opportunities for hydraulic repair services, cylinder repair, and fluid power products
- Generate new business through prospecting, customer visits, and account development activities
- Conduct customer presentations and recommend solutions based on operational needs
- Collaborate with operations and service teams to ensure customer requirements are clearly communicated and executed
- Maintain accurate sales activity, customer information, and opportunity tracking within company systems
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer requirements to identify growth opportunities
- Resolve customer concerns and provide exceptional service throughout the sales process
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to maintain industry knowledge
- Travel throughout the assigned territory to support customer needs and business growth
Experience, Education and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field is preferred
- 3+ years of industrial outside sales, fluid power sales, hydraulic repair sales, or related technical sales experience
- Working knowledge of hydraulic cylinders, pumps, motors, valves, and fluid power systems
- Fluid Power certification is a plus
- Experience selling into steel mills, metals, manufacturing, or other heavy industrial markets is preferred
- Knowledge of hydraulic repair services and aftermarket support solutions is preferred
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage a territory and work independently
- Proficiency with CRM and sales reporting tools
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory
